A ‘buy now, pay now’ deal for immediate delivery. This agreement is for you to buy currency at an agreed exchange rate.
If you are looking to purchase currency and make a payment immediately, then a spot contract could be perfect for you to take advantage of a favourable rate. You can have a currency trader book a trade for you or, using the online system, search for the available rate and book it yourself.
FORWARD CONTRACTS
This is an agreement for you to buy currency on an agreed future date at a fixed exchange rate. This allows you to take advantage of a favourable rate at present for your future trade (for up to 1 year). You can draw down on it whenever you need to. We will require a 5% deposit to secure this. This is not a fee but part of the transaction value.
A Forward Contract is a way of locking in at a desired exchange rate to avoid any risk of movement in the future.
